Plot: 8/10

So basically the premise of this book series is this regular 13 year old girl from Twinford, a fictional city in California, USA, gets recruited to a spy agency called Spectrum, and dodges death using their high tech gear, dumb luck, and the help of her best friend Clancy. I honestly think she isn’t the greatest role model but with her best friend, it evens out. It’s a pretty good series and I still re-read them as comfort books because they’re really easy reads with just enough mystery to keep me coming back to read it again.

My Age Rating: 7-14

There is no bad language in the book other than Bozo if that counts, and Ruby does steal from the Spectrum HQ, and there are a lot of death threats in it, but nothing a kid couldn’t handle. Also there is gun use, and violence, but it’s not described in detail, and won’t scare kids really.
