Music and Art: 10/10 The most beautiful art I’ve seen in a video game, actually breathtaking. It’s set in the Scottish highlands, and it makes me think of the West-Coast of Aotearoa.
Plot: 8/10 This game… I am in love. I’ve spent about 60 hours on it, I started playing it as soon as it came out because we pre-ordered it off Steam, and I can’t even believe it. There is enough name dropping to make you feel like it relates to the books. I also love that there is a transgender character, Sirona Ryan. The actual game is so fun to play, I wish there was quidditch though. The one thing I’ll say is that the goblin uprising of 1612 has been portrayed really well.
Mechanics: 4/10 I’m so mad there is a maximum amount of times you can save it before having to override old saves… It seems like a bit of a flaw, but it can be overlooked. The fact you can’t make more than 4 characters is kind of annoying too, but isn’t the end of the world.
My Age Rating: 10-12+ Just because of coarse language, violence, and the fact it’s so ADDICTIVE but I think it’s a great game. I think parents can decide for their child honestly.
