Plot: 10/10

I expected the movie to follow in the footsteps of the book series, or even the game, but it was a whole new section. I kind of wish they had added some more familiar names, apart from William Afton, but I see why they didn’t name Micheal as one of the missing kids, since that’s the name of the main character. I think they kind of nodded to the way that Freddies works in the book The Silver Eyes, as in on the third night someone outside the main plot will always come and investigate the place, and gets murdered. The thing that confused me was that one of the murdered characters gets eaten by Freddy (like chomped in half, spoiler!), but the physics of it don’t really make sense since he doesn’t have teeth? And also where does the body go? But in general this movie is absolutely amazing, just enough horror to keep you on your toes, and enough of a difference to the books for fans to be interested, but a couple of easter eggs.

My Age Rating: PG 13

I definitely agree with the age rating which is really uncommon for me. There aren’t as many jump scares as I expected, it was mainly gore, and suspense that made it scary. I will STAND by the fact that Chica’s Cupcake is the scariest animatronic in the FNAF Universe, and I think watching it in the movie reinforced that. I think also the fact you can shout at the characters and be like ‘NO!!!!!!!!!!! WHY WOULD YOU FOLLOW THE SOUNDS OF SCREAMING AND THE BLOOD? JUST RUN!!’ is really funny, especially since I watched this at a sleepover with friends.

All in all, a great movie, especially for an adaptation of a book, you should definitely watch it. Shout out to Emma Tammi, the director, make a sequel please!
